The Business English programme at ACBT provides comprehensive training in business communication and leads to the Cambridge Business English Qualifications (BEC).

The course is ideal for those who:

1. are employed in business organizations in different capacities to support their career advancement
2. are in search of employment to prove to employers their ability to successfully engage in business communication
3. are studying in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to expand their career prospects.

Structure and Content

The Business English programme trains participants on business communication, starting from the essentials of it and guiding the trainees towards expertise in it across the 3 levels of the programme.

Diploma in English (for C1 Advanced)

The Course

Diploma in English offered at ACBT is a comprehensive English language course that assists students to reach a high level of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. This course is recommended for students who are at Intermediate - Advanced (CEFR B2 or C1) level and prepares them to for the Cambridge C1 Advanced exam

Certification 

Upon completion of the Diploma in English students can sit for Cambridge C1 Advanced examination. 

 *Cambridge C1 Advanced certification allows you access to foreign universities and employment and is a prestigious lifetime qualification that proves your high proficiency in English. C1 Advanced is an internationally recognized language qualification awarded by Cambridge Assessment English, UK. 

External Candidates can also take C1 Advanced exam at ACBT (without following the Diploma in English). 

TKT [Teaching Knowledge Test] (Cambridge)

What is TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test)?

TKT is a globally-recognized, flexible series of modular teaching certifications, which test your knowledge in 5 specific areas of English language teaching. 

Module 1: Language and background to language learning and teaching 

Module 2: Lesson planning and use of resources for language teaching 

Module 3: Managing the teaching and learning process 

Module 4: CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) 

Module 5: YL (Young Learners) 

Each module carries a certificate and is a standalone qualification. The 5 modules can be attempted all at ones, separately in any order or individually.  

Your TKT qualification attests to your expertise in: 

• different teaching methods and teaching resources 
• effective lesson planning 
• techniques of classroom management
